Under the advisory of Swami Yogatmananda, head of the Vedanta Society of Providence, and the active participation of a team of coordinators, regular meetings will be scheduled to make progress on this endeavor. Please visit this website regularly for updates on the meeting dates.
At present, the Vedanta Society will be run by the local devotees. A team of volunteers who can take up the responsibility of various organizational activities is being currently discussed. Some of the short and long term plans are listed below:
- Build a community of devotees and volunteers
- Define regular programs and activities (meditation, study groups, retreats etc)
- Get affiliated to the Ramakrishna Order as one of its official centers
